Beasiswa Luar Negeri 2011-2012 : Beasiswa Pascasarjana ke Swiss

KOMPAS.com - Pemerintah Swiss melalui Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) menawarkan beasiswa untuk tahun akademik 2011/12. Beasiswa ini ditawarkan untuk para mahasiswa pascasarjana (postgraduate) yang ingin melakukan riset atau meraih gelar master di salah satu perguruan tinggi di Swiss.

Program beasiswa ini berlangsung selama 9 (sembilan) bulan atau 1 tahun akademik. Namun, dalam kondisi tertentu beasiswa dapat diperpanjang maksimal hingga tahun ajaran ke-2 sesuai dengan pertimbangan FCS dan perguruan tinggi yang bersangkutan.

Adapun beberapa program studi atau pendidikan yang tidak termasuk dalam tawaran beasiswa antara lain adalah Ilmu Kesenian, Pendidikan S-1, Pendidikan Sekolah Perhotelan, Pertukaran pelajar/mahasiswa, Part-time studies, On-the-job studies, atau Studi jarak jauh (correspondence course).

Bagi yang tertarik dengan program ini perlu mengetahui, bahwa jumlah beasiswa senilai CHF 1.920 per bulan (untuk biaya hidup). Harap diingat, bahwa tidak semua program pascasarjana dan perguruan tinggi di Swiss membebaskan penerima beasiswa dari biaya perkuliahan karena beasiswa ini hanya mencakup biaya hidup di Swiss.

Untuk itulah, setiap pelamar sangat perlu mengklarifikasi kepastian pembebasan uang kuliah untuk program studi yang dipilih dengan perguruan tinggi yang bersangkutan. Sementara biaya perjalanan dan asuransi penerima beasiswa dari Indonesia harus menanggung sendiri biaya perjalanan ke Swiss tersebut.

Pendaftaran beasiswa ini sudah dibuka dan pelamar harus sudah mengembalikan formulir pendaftaran yang dilampiri lengkap dengan dokumen-dokumen pendukung paling lambat pada 31 Oktober 2010 mendatang ke Kedutaan Besar Swiss (Bagian Kebudayaan) di Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said Kav. X3/2, Jakarta 12950.

Beasiswa S2 - 2011 : Master Scholarships at University of Westminster, UK

Westminster International Scholarships (starting January 2011)

These generous awards are aimed at fully funding you if you are from a developing country and will study a full-time Masters degree at the University. Particular preference will be given to you if you can demonstrate how the knowledge you acquire from your studies will aid the development of your own country.

Amount: Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility: You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree.

Criteria: Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

The deadline for scholarship applications for January 2011 is 1 November 2010 unless otherwise specified.

Lotus Project, Erasmus Mundus Grant for South East Asian

Lotus is an Erasmus Mundus Action Two Partnership (EMA2) of European and South-East Asian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and Associations aiming at fostering mutual enrichment and better understanding between the EU and South-East Asia (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand), through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at higher education level and to co-operate in the following program activities:

Mobility of undergraduate and graduate students
Mobility of PhD students
Post-doc mobility
Academic and administrative staff mobility

The types of mobility to be funded are:

For students: undergraduate, master, doctorate and post-doctorate mobility opportunities
For academic staff: exchanges for the purposes of teaching, practical training and research
This project is to give South-East Asian students and staff the possibility to go to a European University to improve, enrich, learn, experience, .... their own knowledge and skills.

Please bear in mind that the scholarships are only granted to South-East Asian students and staff coming to Europe.

The grant covers:

monthly subsistence allowance
travel ticket
insurance
tuition fee

To enable students to benefit in a linguistic, cultural and educational way from the experience of pursuing academic studies in another country, all students should have a thorough command of English.
